Conclusions

Well, this past weeks I changed a lot of things, I took my time to think about nautre, every living thing has an important role in our lifes and we should take care of them, because we depend of them. I know that is not easy to make a change, but when you know is for a good reason, you have to make a big effort. Well, thats why I personally think, because for me It was hard. One of the changes I'm most proud is... Finally I could recycle something by my own, without someone telling me. Let me tell you why, like I told you before I was not into recycle, at all. So for me this is like a great step. Throwing material things wherever I was, that was me, it was so normal. I guess I was being selfish. Now I see green places, very pretty places and I realize that messing up with nature is not a good idea, becase no one wants to destroy beautiful places. There are so many things we have to take of. That's why now I feel happy with myself and with my attitude. Something I want to confess is that it was pretty funny to see people's reaction in this change that I made, because when they(my friends) saw me recycling or having my tv off, they were surprise. They started saying that I was not "that" kind of person, and I don't blame them because my attitude was always careless, but now that they see the change they are amaze. Indeed, they started giving me some bottles that were on the streets and they always told me "You know what to do". The funniest things is that I wasn't aware of people's opinion or goal, now I know and I'm trying hard to be part of it, to benefit myself and others that do care. I'll try my best to keep this change in my life and not fall into lazyness once again. I also need to change a lot of things regarding using time wisely. Well. what I can say is.. if I accomplished this activity why can't I change other things, I'm conscious of things and it depende and will always depende on my attitude and what do I really want. If I want to help others or not, if I care or not. After all I can only say... Mission Accomplished.

Journal Entry 3

Well, What I can say about this activity is that...
It worked, at least it did for me.

Now I can see a change in what I do, a big change. This activity made me realize the unnecessary waste I do, with water and electricity. Indeed, until recently I realized that all the home fans went on, when only one was needed. Now I always check what is on and not in use, so that way I better turn it off. This will greatly reduced the electricity bill. Now I rather go out and do some sports, Instead of staying at home watching TV or using the computer. I changed that habit of using the computer and having the tv on at the same time when I'm not even watching it. Every time I turn on the TV I search for some good stuff to watch, If there's nothing interesting I just turn it off. Back then I'll just leave the TV on, with any channel, I just want for it to be on. What a waste of energy, I know. There are some things I still need to improve, but I know I'll change that, is for a good reason. I won't be selfish, I have to show that I care for my neighbors around the world.

Journal Entry 2

I tried to make some changes in my life
in two days, but was kind of impossible because I'm used to do certain things, so it's not easy. Like I told you before in my last blog post, I'm not into many things that could help the planet. Fortunately what I accomplished was taking a shower in less than 15 minutes, I made it in 10 minutes... At least that's something, a good change. You know, everything that has to do with electricity, water ect. It was not hard to change the timing and use of things, because I easily get distracted or entertain with something outside my place, so now I watch tv for a very short time, no more than 2 hours and like I said, my bath timing is good. But there is something I'm still dealing with... recycling. I try so hard to recycle things and I do, but later I kind of forget of recycling and I throw whatever I have in my hand to any place that is not the trashcan. I don't know why is so hard to make it a habit, but I'm completely conscious of what I do. That's a big problem that I need to change, and I will change.

Journal Entry 1

This entry is about ecology, that's our new topic in Biology class. The purpose of this new project is to see how much we care about nature and environment.

From the data I collected, I could see how much I waste energy, for example when I'm using the computer, the TV is on and I'm not even watching it. I also waste alot of water, Every time I take a bath, water runs like for 30 minutes or more, 15 of those 30 minutes I'm just stading there, waiting for water to "warm up" even though I know it won't.
Fortunately I don't do laudry, because that would be a big waste, that's for sure. I guess this affects many people in my community especially because of the limited amount of water we have on this side. I'm not into recycling, not that much. I have to admit that I don't recycle maybe because I'm to lazy, every time I finish eating a snack or something that can be recycle I just throw it on the street. Sometimes I see people doing the same thing, so I don't feel motivated.

I know I have to improve all this, starting with my bath timing because I really waste alot water, I should only take 10 minutes or less. Regarding recycling I have to change my attitude, because I'm destroying nature and I really don't want that. Lazyness is a big a problem but with some effort everything can change.

Chemistry Class

In our my chemistry class we saw how solutions dissociates. We used some cans with soda inside to see what the reaction would be if we shake the cans and put ourselfs in a high position and drop the cans. We saw the result of combining gas with liquid, when we shook them gas and liquid separated. When the cans were drop they made a little explosion, a very juicy explosion.
